Philanthropy

Laurence Geller operates from senior positions in numerous humanitarian, philanthropic and civic organisations.

He is a serving member of, amongst others, the President’s Council of the Midwest Region of the US Fund for UNICEF, the British American Business Council, and The National Leadership Council for the American Jewish Committee. He is an Ambassador for the Alzheimer’s Society and the UK Dementia Research Institute.

He has supported and donated to charities on an international scale, including the Alzheimer’s Society, Alzheimer’s Research UK, the British American Business Council, and the Imperial War Museum. Laurence chaired the architectural and planning committee during the construction of the $1bn+ Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, which he made major donations towards, and has served on the board for over 20 years.

Laurence Geller has also funded scholarships and research projects in prestigious international universities, including New York University, George Washington University, University College London, Ecole Hotelier de Lausanne, Roehampton, Strathclyde, and Churchill College Cambridge. Geller is the largest donor to the University of West London, having committed £1m to the development of the Institute of Ageing Memory, and co-founded the Westmont Enterprise Hub at the university.
